By the way, looking around on Google, I found this product called "BlitzBasic" and I see that you can make some really good 2D games with that... Would you recommend this instead of PureBasic for my needs?
You're probably on the wrong forum to get recomendations for another BASIC flavor Better ask on Blitzbasic forum how it'll fit your needs. Better yet try the demo of both and see whichever you like the best.
I asked here because I was not sure and a small search here found me a lot of threads containing the word BlitzBasic, so I thought it might be good to ask here, but I think I'll use PureBasic to make applications while something else to make games, but I'm not quite sure

Both are good languages. I prefer purebasic as being not so "closed", and because license is life long and complete (first I bought blitzbasic, who became blitz2d, and by now I would have to buy blitzmax and blitz3d for all my needs).

Come on, I want to see a nice 2d shoot-em-up by the end of the day or else we'll set the Fangbeast loose!
Welcome by the way!
Hello srod!
I do a lot other stuff than just talk (have you heard my music beats?)
I think I'm going to design some sprites and then try to make an engine in PureBasic...

oi, cut that out!! I just polished my fangs and don't want to get moist body parts on them. Do you know how much the polish for these long things costs???
And rending and tearing causes cavities!!
