Why oh why..

Post by thefool »

This is a little plea from me: STOP USING IMAGESHACK!

There is nothing more annoying than their f****** popups that gets around of firefox popup blocker. I hate their banner ads with boops & girls "in my area".. yeah right..

I don't f*cking understand why anyone use it! Don't they see how annoying popups are? there are many services out there. Why choose the worst?

DAMN you, imageshack users.

Sorry for the bad words, and i got nothing personal against imageshack users. Im just telling how annoying i find it.

Firefox should fix their popup blocker. It's not only imageshack. But else should we use?

Adblock Plus plugin for Firefox. Here imageshack images seems to get blocked as well as the popups. *Shrug*

I was unaware of the ads, but I'm a Opera 9.02 user too right now, Not overly thrilled with it though.

No popups, appropriate AND LESS ANNOYING ads.

i'll try it!

If you dont want to find girls in your area, use noscript
Looking at it, but it seems like it would be easier to convince others that imageshack has gone over the edge than having to allow all pages that can use jscript. Good suggestion, though

very funny, AND51 ;) but im actually serious. it is really annoying. Heck, im even thinking of switching to Opera (Konqueror; its ok but im on windows.) while mozilla gets that problem fixed..

Opera's not that bad... I've been using it (as in standard web browser) since version 6.x. Some stuff just doesn't work right. But you can always fire up the fox for that.

Just don't try "fancy" XSLT stuff on Opera. document()? Hah. Forget it.

I guess my biggest problem is i've been using firefox since first beta or so, and im just used to it! Opera or IE feels kinda hostile to me :)

I've used Opera since 5.02, and I'm still using 5.12 for some surfing. (That's from before Firefox existed.)

I use FF2.0 and havn't ever been at Imageshack before today. I can't see any popups anywhere. I use adblock, adblock filterset, flashblock, noscript, remove it permanently as the most important add-ons. Even with JS allowed I didn't get popups.

dunno if this helps u, but that's how it is anyway.
