Yes. Absolutely.Kaisen2100 wrote:And? ... how is it? ... somethnig good?Character wrote:Had my first day on my new job today!
Had a horror story on my previous job.
After 5 years of service I was forced to go away because everybody started to kill each other to get a better position.
I still cannot believe people can get that evil.
I saw very skilled and friendly people going down like hunted animals. Dozens of them.
Almost lost my faith in humanity here.
When I got sick of myself I stopped going to that horrible place..
F*** them..
Now, I feel reborn.
Better pay, better place, better me..
I even got my own parking spot now at 3 meters of the frontdoor. hehehe

Sounds like a looong & lonely road...PB wrote:I'm currently looking for a new job too. I responded to a job ad in another
state, so if I get it, it'll be a big move for me (for Aussies: NSW to QLD).
(like I experienced when I traveled the dusty western states in the US)

if you don't like fights and backstabbing just in general stay out of telecoms, that's my two cents of advise... have been in telecoms for the last 15 years, should be able to tell by now
( PB6.00 LTS Win11 x64 Asrock AB350 Pro4 Ryzen 5 3600 32GB GTX1060 6GB - upgrade incoming...)

They got fired for most ridiculous reasons or their contracts were not extended because of economic reasonsKale wrote:What happened?Character wrote:Had a horror story on my previous job.

(while their successors were already hired and in the building! - so, economic my a**)
Or when they were lucky; they got bought out. Funny thing is that almost all Dutch people are gone and Germans or UK people
(no offense hehehe) are in the freed managing positions.
On middle level everybody smells blood and are backstabbing each other to get higher up.
It's like everybody is on drugs 8 hours a day.
The sadness of this situation is that the lowest positions just try to make it through the day in fear..
