Hi,

I'm thinking of allowing Google ads on one of my Maths sites as a way of keeping the free resources free.

Does anyone have any experience with these and if so, are they worth it?

In my experience, only worth if have huge traffic (daily 5k+)

I get about 500 hits per day.

Perhaps not worth the hassle then? And God only knows what it will do to the site anyhow!

Not a lot of experience with them... but

I have a site that was not getting a lot of hits. Once Google Ads were enabled on the site it really took off. I didn't do any thing else, so I attributed the explosion in hits to Google. Not real scientific, so take it for what it is worth.

Well me and a few friends hjave google ads on some not so much visited sites and we earned 270 $ in less then a half year, don't know who clicks on our banenrs but it works...
So if you have a well going website I would recommend you to just try it.

Sounds like a good way to get rich, where do you get information from?

I tried GOOGLEing 'google ads' but all i get is info about paying for ads and I want to make money, not spend it!!

Just go to the main Google site and click on Advertising programmes etc.

Alternatively: http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/ads/

You'll want to look at Google Adsense.

Be carefull... Google Ads is like inquisition or KGB, CIA & FBI together.

If you talk about how much money did you make (even if you talk while sleep) they inmediatly cancel your account.

I know some people that lives affraid of doing anything that makes Google get angry and cancel they account (its true!).
