There are only languages well suited or perhaps poorly suited for particular purposes. Herbert Mayer

A question: Recently there have been some ASM routines posted in the forum that appear to improve on some PureBasic functions. Are there any plans to convert the PureBasic functions to take advantage of these improvements (or have they been converted already?)?
Probably not as these uses extended instructions not supported on old processors or relies on checking the validity of the parameters.

Well it does make 3x the work for him. But its kind of necessary for this type of product.

Hmm. There are still a lot of very compatible optimizations to be done.

lol.

When beta 4.00 was released some people acted like it was the final release and made life miserable. So perhaps having no beta is accepting the inevitable .. :)

Anyhow, a beta for a minor release is not really required, surely, and surely it is also better an improvement is out now rather than later?

Hm, sorry for being not so enthusiastic, but I got an strange ASM-error - in 4.0 it runs fine.

Can't believe I missed the update hehehe.
Oh well, I see the update is working again.
When using PB 4 all I got from the update wizard was fix 1 for PB 3.94. Which I tried and messed PB4 up ;)

Thanks for the update Fred :)

Edit:
How come the PB 4.01 update is 11.2 MB and the full PB 4.0 is only 8.21 MB ?
