Knowing my luck I'll get within a hairs width of it, and then trip over a great steaming cowpat!

Maybe you need a new programming language...Num3 wrote: I haven't done a line of code in.... 2 months....

I'll tell ya, I'm in my 30's and have (just did) gone through this feeling. Usually it's "I'll code that database part tomorrow, I'm spent tonight" sort of deal. But, work wise I was laidoff and with a couple bucks in my pocket (I have a wife, no kids, don't want them), decided to run my own brick and mortar business. I don't expect to get rich from it, just keep the bills paid and pay off some existing debt. But, the money and joy is in coding for me. At my shop I can code between jobs there. Right now I am coding a commercial application in another programming language and that has really motivated me (the cash helps too). So for me the best way I found to get motivated about coding is to get paid for it, but with a twist, being self-employed, no boss but save for the customer.Num3 wrote:Hey guys,
Maybe you helder, wiser, guys have been through this in your lifes, but i've reached a point where i feel completely bored with my job, it sucks like hell, can't seem to produce anything, and just get the crap beaten out of me every day...
I don't even have the will to power up my PC, i just sit at home watching crap shows on the tube.
