hello kale,
am i too curious if i ask how many books have been sold - at the moment ?
No programming language is perfect. There is not even a single best language.
There are only languages well suited or perhaps poorly suited for particular purposes. Herbert Mayer

Yes, that is strange. I guess it's a trademark thing so Kale didn't have to pay
any royalties for using the correct official spelling of the name? Kale? :)
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

A beginner won't care "PureBasic" or "Purebasic".

However it seems ppl here do care about this....
How about change it in the next revision?

Technically all of us are wrong, it sould be PureBASIC,
BASIC is a common term for such programming language.

Not exactly. The name "PureBasic" is a proper noun, and as such, is written
however the creator of that noun decides. Fred chose to use "Basic" instead
of "BASIC" and therefore that is the correct grammar. (Note that Microsoft
also did this with "Visual Basic").

It's not proper grammer, just due to habit or the creater called it,
there's no doubt PureBasic can be a product name, but it's exactly
a BASIC language unless Fred declared it's not following the BASIC
rules, then PureBasic stands for a standalone name.

If you get to http://www.purebasic.com/, you can see this is
"PureBasic", not "Purebasic"
The main features of PureBasic

- Huge set of internal commands (800+) to quickly and easily build any application or game
- All BASIC keywords are supported
This at least tells us all Fred knows "BASIC" is a common term,
he just choose the name "PureBasic" as brand name.

Shame. I think PureBasic simply looks better than Purebasic.

Just like your variable syntax advice Kale -->

Code: Select all

GlassWine.s = "Kale's favorite"
Haha joking

You should, if only to show potential buyers that you didn't make a spelling error.

If you order through CafePress using a debit or credit card, it is automagically converted from your native currency (in this case Euros) into the right Dollar amount using that day's conversion rate.
