Oridan USB WriteProtect 1.0

Little program to protect the USB peripherals.
Creating a key of personal access is necessary to use the program (The password is preserved in the program

).

wow! GUI looks very clean and professional! *thumb up* i dont own any USB memory stick, so i sadly cant test your tool.

Here is a fast german version... maybe it make sence to change some german sentences a little bit. Btw, in german you and use "Passwort" and "Kennwort" for the english word "password" ... btw, there is one sentence i dont really understand ^^

nice

btw, it seems something is wrong with the german version. when trying to start the german version, the user must enter a password... whatever i try... it fails... but when running the english version, the password will be accepted, unlike the german version.

I removed the password with the engl. version and tried again the german one... no luck... everytime wrong password...

I like the idea...

But with people who know how to write protect / un-write protect devices, its easy enough to crack it. + It only locks the USB device on the computer the program registered on...

Maybe you should design it so it prevents writing to a singular device, and have it stored in an unlocked part of the device.

Also, Mac's, Linux, Any non-windows NT based systems wont be affected by the current program.

I like it though, its great when you know a whole bunch of dummies who may try to use it on your local pc.

Also just an even BIGGER hint for the current program, create a hidden file called autorun.exe on the disk, so when its plugged in, if the device is MEANT to be locked, it will create the key and exit before you can say the letter 'a'.

Sorry, I did confusion.

The German version was containing a password because I had done a test with the German version. And then I loaded on the server the version with the password! DOH!

The problem now is resolved. You can download the correct German version.
