Hey,
Just wanted to let you know that there is a new site up that has messageboard sections for many languages, and one of them is PureBasic.
Also has a complete Showcase system built-in to showcase your stuff!

Yes, I agree. Idigicon was very excited about publishing a PureBasic book, and are anxiously awaiting its going to press (which SHOULD happen next week, by the way!).
But they built Coder's Workshop because they are trying to help all types of Indie developers (and to sell products, obviously). They decided on making sections specifically for PB, DB, BB, C/C++/C#, etc. to try and keep the playing field level for these development languages too, which makes it an excellent resource to help sell non-Idigicon products such as PureBasic. When a person checks out the boards and sees a bunch of posts regarding PB games, a book on the language, resources that work with it, and a supportive group of people, that user will likely want to then go and check out www.purebasic.com and potentially get a purchase for Fred
So, all-in-all, it's a win-win for everyone!
Unfortunately, at current, the PB section is pretty sparse compared to some others. But it seems to be growing a little bit day-by-day.
Not trying to pull people away from here, but it would certainly help Fantasie software to have a presence on that site as well...besides, it's got a nice showcase system!
All the best,

http://www.codersworkshop.com/ is now defunct!
Apparently they are pushing their (Idigicon) new language (Cobra) on schools now. pfff, good luck, they'll need it.
Cobra is just a DarkBasic clone, and we all know how crap that is.
I wonder why Fred doesn't target academia more with Purebasic? oh well...

Actually Cobra is more closely related to Blitz3D than Darkbasic. And I don't think it should be written off until it is actually released.
Beyond that, the codersworkshop forums were in a sad state... a sad shadow of the blitzcoder forums that they replaced (although those forums could get ugly also).
I wish we had a showcase around here like the old blitzcoder forums did. That thing rocked.
