Okay, all you blooming hotshots - what gear do you have?

What hardware, software (and for that matter tableware) do you use?

How does it stack up against my Acid-DJ, Jazz midi sequencer and $2.00 mike?

Bring it on! :P :D

V2 wrote:Hi,

nice tune - IMHO the instruments are a bit dry (meaning: more effects could be used). Otherwise nice tune! Is it possible to get a grip on the source to make a remix?

Here are some of my tunes:
Weird Man Dancing
Levas Polka (remix)
Space Rider
Push Me

Hi!
Thanks :)
I will listen to your tunes later; i have sent you a PM about the source.

Well;
First of all i use my computer :)

Midi devices:
-M-Audio Keystation 49e 130us$
-Evolution U-control UC-33e 250us$

computer: 3800+ 64bit (yeah a bit slow ill upgrade it.) 1 gb ram, 400gb hdd space, 19" LCD screen etc etc

-Phillips microphone (maybe purchasing something better later)
-Creative HN-700
-JTS HP-535 studio monitor headphones
-Probably getting a pair of sennheiser; however the JTS are very nice.

-1500us$ ++ sounds system to hear the final mix on
(in here i burn a CD and listen to it with my 200+$ sony dvd player wich is short-optically wired to the amp.)

Software:
-FL Studio 6.3 latest beta [very stable of a beta, actually. And i use the new features :)]
-XXL package (sytrus 2, wasp, dx10 and a lot of other synths; 361$ (you save 219 buying the bundle! Sytrus alone is 179$))

-Vanguard; this is lovely! 90us$
-Various free vst's like Triangle III, Minimogue, MicroW, Claw etc.

Oh well it isnt the most expensive system; but it does what i want to.
Of course i have been testing Cubase, reason and so on; but i just "fell in love" with FL Studio. Price doesnt really matter; its more what i like to use..

Hi (the) Fool,

A colleague of mine is kind of music freak and mixes and produces himself.
I don't know what stuff and hardware he is using, probably a brand like my real name.. but anyway he knows damn lot about it..
And he is a nice and friendly guy too, so... check out his website and productions.
Maybe useful.

I like your sample by the way. But hell, I like that kind of music.

Getting close!
Well i am a bit "weird"; i mean if i should name a favorite band it would be Queen. My favorite genre would be dance/trance/club; And i also enjoy some classical music :)

Its just; sometimes i hear music that gives me a special feeling. The genre doesn't matter. Its the melody; the composition. Trance is usually the easiest thing to "fall in with", but i find queen quite good at it too.
