Why is that weird ? Most of the software i use has some sort of official or support
forum somewhere, yet i do not register on them. Why should I as long as i do not
have any problems/questions to ask?

But how many of these applications are programming languages?

Programming languages evolve all the time and having access to a support forum is probably the best way of keeping up with the development etc.

I don't think I'd use a programming language these days which didn't have some kind of support forum. Certainly, the strength of these forums are one of the great attractions of PB.

Forum numbers are iffy. I have two accounts (Dare2 and Dare) and I know of other little jellybeans who have two or more.

There are also all the spam users who slipped through, etc, and those who register to ask things like "should I buy" and then do, or don't.

I would guess at 10,000 users, based on Andre's interview of Fred.

But I guess you could use the forum numbers and then correlate that against the actual numbers to get some sort of trend.
