My New Site (CGI coded in PB)

Post by Pantcho!! »

Hello,
Some people may have know my little site.
Now i have upgraded it using CGI Lib from Paul.
The site allows users to upload their content - images/midi/java midlets
and download it straight to their mobile cell phone.
The navigation and the uploader and the background is ALL PB!

so maybe you guys can check the site and use it for private use or public use by sharing your funny pics ... or what ever you want!

p.s

how's the design? :o

You should click on the "www" link at his footer, don't you think?... Thats the whole point of requesting this data on a registration form.

But my feedback aint free...

Ok heres one: At the navigation menu, make the text darker.

Get a nicer pallete of colors... I'm not saying "change it all", but, get a better pallete based on the current one. You need to refine this.

"Download Workshop" is wrapped at 1024x768 on an Opera browser, so you get a repeated background under it (hey, if I gave my VMs bigger resolutions, I wouldnt be able to see my real desktop!). The trick to prevent this is to make your backgrounds taller by a few KBs, if this extension of height has the same color all along, it wont add-up much to the GIF.

Also, "Partners" is wider than the other sections in the menu?.

Browsing Speed could be improved as well... I think its a latency issue though, but might be bandwidth as well.

Agreed. There should be enough contrast between fore- and background.
Combined with:
dagcrack wrote:Get a nicer pallete of colors...
Yep. Maybe the "Workshop Stats" and "Premium Ringtone Search" Box in the same colors as the other Menu boxes?
dagcrack wrote:Also, "Partners" is wider than the other sections in the menu?
Yep. Recommend fixing that.

I also consider the font size of the middle content a tad to small. And I wouldn't mix font sizes that much.

For other hints, try testing your site with http://webxact2.watchfire.com/ .

Oh yeah I forgot:

* The site is mostly PB yellow! (Basic layout, pretty ok but not fancy)

* What is exactly done in PB? Impressive.

THanks For checking.
The CGI behind it is pb, all the files in the /cgi-bin/ directory
are PB exe's spitting out html.
I just love PB!
