Hi,

i think thats a really cool idea.

Beside VS2005, Eclipse is really the best IDE i've ever seen. I mostly use ist for writing Java code, but it would be nice to use it for purebasic. especially i'm working more and more under linux. And the PB-IDE for Linux isn't the well and jabPE hasn't been portet to Linux as far as i know.

So go one with your work, its really a cool idea.

Greetings

What a great idea! :D

Yes, Eclipse is very fine and I would love to use it for PB-programming!

To integrate a Visual Designer is, in my opinion, not as important. The existing VD can be used together with Eclipse like the original IDE and jaPBe are doing.

I dont have experience to help in developing some parts, but at least I can test
your plugin.... tell me where I download it and I can test it right away.

Its a good idea, and if it starts giving good results Im sure people
is going to switch to Eclipse-PB plugin

Hope you continue with this work!

I know eclipse runs in Win, Mac, Linux and some Unix OS, if your plugin is
going to run cross-platform it will be a super-hit... ok.. you have the
last word....

wayne-c wrote:However my original idea was that with a good Eclipse plugin that includes a Visual Designer, the PB-team could focus on their main task (to make PB better) and would not have to spend additional time on the PB-IDE :)
That is a good reason...
... but th PB-IDE is written in PB = A complexer application for testing PB.

Hi everybody,

was on holiday in denmark until today. Have a LOT of work pending, so I am not sure when to release PBEclipse.

So many things still undone!!

Also, and in addition, my PBEclipse language reference is still 3.9x what must be updated to PB4 first.

Sorry for the bad news about release time.

I downloaded and installed Eclipse for the first time. I wanted to use it to code NSIS scripts for writing installers for PortableApps on my flash drive. I discovered this PB thread for Eclipse using Google. Now I am really interested. I would love to have one common development editor, regardless of the language.

Where can I download this plugin?
The english grammar is freeware, you can use it freely - But it's not Open Source, i.e. you can not change it or publish it in altered way.

Great idea, Pb + visual designer + eclipse.
That because on Mac is no VD available.

I'm waiting... :)
