Solution to IE .txt problem:

Ditch IE and use Netscape6.2.3 or later :wink: It all works very well, never had any problem with netscape assigning unnecessary extensions to files!
Hmm, that's just too ironic. It used to be IE5 that worked OK and NS4.7 which would save files wrongly as text (and even worse, insert CRLF's!).

Wouldn't the real solution to be to make the PureBasic site's server default to the MIME type, err, application/octet-stream (I think) when there is no extension?. Or is it really the browser just being a smart ass?

Thanks Jim and everyone!
The quotes worked great!

I did run into an issue after downloading the libs. When I tried to run my program from the IDE with the new libs. It gives me the following error message:

"Can't create the 'PureBasic.exe' file (already running?)"

Have any of you experienced this error message before?

Thanks for your help.

OK - its time to say "Sorry, Tron!!".

Looks like this is very weird stuff.
I´m using my method all the time and it works
100% for me. Nobody else can use it, so it looks
like i have a special version of Windows...

Anyway...

@Tron:
Do you have a registered PureBasic 3.20 ??
The library updates are only for latest version of PB
and the Demo isnt up-to-date every time (Fred? Demo is 3.00)

Make sure all PureBasic Windows are closed while updating.

@Fred:
What about a automatic update function in the Editor ??
"Check for latest update", Click!, "Successfully updated 3 Libraries"...

cya,
...Danilo
