PureVisionXP

Post by Tipperton »

Does anyone know if Reel Media Productions is still supporting their Purevision Xp form designer for PureBasic?

I need to reinstall it and need a new key, I sent them an e-mail a week ago and have gotten no response from them.

Thanks!

Of course PureVisionXP is still supported... that is why there is a version available for PureBasic 4.0

Don't you think a better place to post this would be the PureVision website? That is what the official PureVision Forum is for :)

Obviously 1 of 2 things happened:

1) You sent an email but your email was blocked as spam so we never received it
2) We received your email, sent a new key but our email was blocked by your ISP as spam

You can always PM me with your username and email address that you originally used.

True, but your forum says its for registered users and I didn't think I could set up an account on it to post my message until that was prooven.

Possiblly...

Not too likely, I don't use an ISP based e-mail service and have all server based spam filtering turned off. Instead I do local spam filtering because its a lot easier to recover mistakes by the spam filter that way.

A third possibility is that I sent it to the wrong address, so I resent it, this time to both sales and support at reelmedia dot org.

If you purchased PureVision that would make you are a registered user.

I have still not received an email from you. If you are running your own mail server, it is possible something is not set up quite right so your email is being rejected.

Anyway... like I already mentioned, if you want to PM me here or post on the PV forum some info, we can get you up and running again. :) (basically need the email address you registered PV with)

Hi Paul,

Just thinking that it may be an idea to make another PureVision (v4) post so that newcomers become aware of your product. You could put an ordering, registering and support type FAQ at the foot of that as well, as it may prove helpful.

Strange. At one time years ago I used a program called Advanced Direct Remailer which was a local SMTP server. It was useful back in the summer of 2001 when two e-mail worms had ISP based SMTP servers so jammed with their garbage that legitimate users couldn't send e-mail. But I quit using it a couple years ago because its usefulness had been brought down to near nothing because of SPAM and various ISP's attempts to stop it.

Anyway, these days I use runbox dot com for my e-mail and we have exchanged e-mails, so whatever was causing the problem before seems to have sorted itself out. :D
