Is there a gadget (or something) that I can use to create a large freeform text edit box (and then read the resulting long string).

Thanks,

You can use a RichEdit, there should be code on the http://www.reelmediaproductions.com/pb to show you how.

It's not minimalist - I'm increasing efficiency by reducing input effort.

Hi,

Yes, you can use the RichEdit library to do that. Download it from:

[url]http://www.reelmediaproductions.com/pb[/ur]

But if what you want is just a multilined edit box, that is, a multilined StringGadget, there must be some source in the Forum, try Search.

Hope this helps. Bye,
