Hehe Linux users like me don't see them very often at least if they don't have a transparent console window.^^
Well I personally like to watch at the girl on my desktop to get relaxed^^

I use a wallpaper!
It's a nice picture from hubble! :D
It use 2.49mb of my ram! (since it's a 1152x864 png image)

That would be 2.85 mb. All file formats are uncompressed when you load them to memory.

Personally I've got 256x256 pixel square in the middle of the screen and the icons outside it.

Edit: Why is it called wallpaper when it's on the desktop?
