Actually, I don't know.
For many, I think... It came from remembering about the knight-rider and baywatch series? (at least when you say hasselhoff those are the 2 things I think of, now.. num3 thinks of many other nasty things I wont mention here).
Really I can't remember who brought david into PB nor why he keeps on poping up all the time...
