PureBasic and Avast issues fixed!

Post by Rescator »

I just now told Avast to check for a iAVS update.
(right click tray icon and choose Updating>iAVS Update)
After the update PB is no longer flagged as a trojan/key logger.

Big thanks to PB team and Avast team (I doubt they are reading this but, anyway thanks :) )
for handling this issue so quickly.

And also thanks to the AVG team for never introducing this problem in the first place.

Haha, I just got an email saying that a reply has been posted but
it seems like I didn't even post in here before... ;)

You're right, thefool - whatever that means
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

Computer Shopper magazine did a review of Virus Scanners this month and Avast came bottom (I was using it too). In their tests it failed to detect numerous viruses.

Another one that faired really poorly was BullGuard which was one of the programs they had included on their cover disc, that made me smile.

The best performer was Kaspersky which detected every virus.

I really hope you're thinking about the similar thread in general discussion thread and not this one.

It has been a long time since posts were quietly assassinated. Hate to see it start again.

No, he's not getting old. This topic was way down the second page before suddenly almost everything was gone.

Right, I'm sure I've seen 2 pages on this topic before most of it disappears.

I know one in General Discussion ran over one page. Didn't think this one had. It sat lonely for a while, perhaps a day, then with just a couple of posts.

Check the General Discussion one, maybe that has the posts you were thinking about!

In fact, Rascator refers to this topic in that one.

It's definitively this one I saw which has two pages, not the one in General Discussion (well, even if it's also two pages)

Firstly, now as Trond and Polo also agreed on this i would like to say, that the post in "General" haven't got the posts missing from here.

Secondly, i think i can state that the posts in here have been quietly deleted. NOT moved, NO notice about it. Just GONE!

Its bad.. Perhaps we should create a forum where WE select moderators who won't remove threads just because they like to do it?
