The Greatest Video Game Characters

Hello everybody!

I am just thinking about the greatest video game characters. If you'd ask me, my answer would be:

Super Mario, Nintendo
Sonic The Hedgehog, Sega
Megaman, Capcom

Thinking that these companies made many years ago great games which main character is selling bloody good in the market..

And I am not a fan of those... I just have a GameCube with:
Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double-Dash, Mario Strikers, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Adventure 2:Battle, Sonic Riders, Megaman X Command Mission, Mega Man Anniversary Collection...

And on PC, well, they're too much to list, but I bought today Mega Man X8 as cheap as 25€ ! I have completed about 25% of the game and I love it!

Just, WHO are your favourite video game characters and how much of a fan are you?

well, atleast you can play those games on amulator and because most games aren't licensed you can get them as abandonware, but zleda games and mario games are licensed

.. I used to have Sonic R as abandonware but deleted it, 'cause it sux

except of mario, sonic etc. is imho ryo from shenmue, the greatest character of all time. he is not a blown up pseudo cool kick-ass super action hero, he is just an ordinary guy with his heart, on the right place.

p.s.: max payne is cool too.

Agent 4025 (Impossible Mission)
Sabre Man (Nightshade)
Monty Mole
Wizball
Dave (Maniac Mansion), Zack (Zack McKracken) etc.
...REALLY too many, that's not even when it started!

Let's not forget Infocom's characters, of course...
