Post by GeoTrail »

It's says on Java.com's website that LimeWire is, and I quote "The fastest P2P file sharing program on the planet!" What a bunch of bollony.
Yeah, sure it's fast the first few minutes, or even a few hours. But after downloading a few things it becomes the Slowest P2P file sharing program on the planet.

I use personally BitComet it's always very fast when there are seeders. LimeWire is bullshit, when I tried to install it my AV alerted of a Win32.Trojan.Acabella or something like that. With BitComet I don't even care if I download a virus through the BT network

Bitcomet and limewire cant be compared.
Bitcomet is cool for large things and so on, but limewire is extremely fast when you want music.

always you music losers...

get some music over http. 3mp3.ru <-- sign up there (there is also an english interface) then everyday you want music, go to news.rin.ru, scroll down the page until you see a box where "mp3" is written, enter your user and pass, then login to your account in 3mp3.ru and you can download 3 songs per day. Fast secure and reliable. for some $$$ you can get more access...

lol.. neither secure or reliable. Better buy your cd's ;)
i only use limewire to check on something. Like when i want to listen to a piece before buying the whole album.

do what you want. Limewire is fast here. If not on your computer, either you havent set it up correctly because you freaking suck, or because your computer should be trashed right away.

Yeah BitComet is cool.
And it doesn't use as much resources as many other bittorrent programs do :)

I agree that BitComet is good, but IMHO µTorrent is better. :D

I also think (after using quite a few) that uTorrent is best - dispite all the bad press the author has been getting.

Problem with uTorrent is that after some time, when you have lots of big files waiting to be downloaded, it uses alot of resources. BitComet is kinder in that respect. But, I do agree that uTorrent is a nice program, small and easy to use too :)

I hate µTorrent. I tried to download a torrent named "DragonBall Z All episodes RM.torrent", it always said there's bad data and that it can't connect to the tracker, and in the same time I was downloading the SAME torrent in BitComet and in BitComet it was downloading very smoothly...

BTW: are here any dbz fans?
