Demo Version Of PureBasic

Is this normal for the demo? If so, it's almost pointless circulating it. Before forking out the full purchase cost, I would like to try the software. I'm particularly keen to see for myself that it really works with Windows XP, as so many other programs aren't compatible.

This produces zero output when run. When run/compile selected, error msg says
"Line 3: I is not valid operator." No output screen is produced. The system tells me there is a PureBasic error and shuts the program down.

None of the posted demos will run either. I am using Windows XP, a virgin installation on a new machine, with everything else running ok - even Quick Basic and Blitz Basic.

This is demo version 2.7. Any help appreciated, as this dialect looks very interesting.

literally some of the old basics. I see the spirit of pure basic is preserved, but is applied to modern machines. I read up a few of the supplied example programs, and was able then quickly to get my own going.
