Nero Premium Edition - v7.x.x.x

Post by va!n »

Since i work on PC i have tested some burning programs and personaly i fall in love with NeroExpress for burning data CD/DVDs. I own an full registred version of the latest 6.x version and it works very fine for me!

Now i have downloaded a trial of the new "Nero Express v7.x" and i am really shocked! There may be a lot of changes and improvements but why the hell, does they changed the GUI of nero express? I loved the old GUI system, left side you created your compilation and on the right side the file browser! Now this GUI seems to be completly hidden or removed?

I will not change to Nero over v6.x - as i dont like it anymore! What do you think about the newest version of nero?

I don't like the express GUI :/ I always used the normal nero burning rom at work!. It's pretty much like using TotalCMD..

Although I havent tested the 7.x series yet! - Did it change much since the 6.x ? - I might download the trial then see if its worth an upgrade, but I'm pretty much a low-level guy when it comes to interfaces. Should be free to upgrade right!?

I currently have Nero v6.6.0.3, and when I re-installed Windows XP I looked
at upgrading it to the latest Nero (v7.0.8.2) but was shocked by the download
size -- 105 MB! WTF? My v6 is only 29 MB. Talk about added BloatWare!
I can see that v7 has lots of extra stuff in it (eg. PhotoSnap, ShowTime, etc)
but I don't want all that -- I only want the actual disc-burning software, so I'll
be staying with v6, thanks. :)
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

Uhm.. Let's please have a talk about this.

Why oh why, software that is so good becomes so bad in such a short time?, do the masses pull the master-pieces down? OR are the developers themselves such a light-headed fartoids for bloating up their own creations in just about nanoseconds?

You can unselect all if you choose custom install in v7 and only install "Nero Burning ROM".

Hmmm... I don't understand this?!?! :?

The Nero Express GUI hasn't changed so much - just the skin. Aren't you talking about "Nero Burning ROM"?!? It's like allways, just some updated icons.

I didn't download the entire 105 MB file to discover that. :)

Anyway, 105 MB is too big to store on CD just for one component,
when I already have that component as 29 MB and works fine. :)
