I repair a PC of a friend his PC has build in an "Sony CRX300E ComboDrive" from 2003. I checked some websites and noticed you can use the "LTC-48161h" firmware for the "CRX300E" too.
Due fact of some small problems with "modified LTC-48161h firmwares i tried to download an official latest firmware but witout luck. I found a link from .tw where you can download a firmware version from 2006 but get always time out. Even the main-support site of www.LiteOnIt.com is not reachable for me (redirected from: http://www.liteon.com/prod/getDriver.do?action=driver)
If someone know a working link or can download the latest firmware from topic sites, it would be nice when you could save it temporary on any ftp/url for download. many thanks in advance

@flaith:
thanks! i have flahsed the firmware to CO48KH0R.ZIP atm but seems there is somewhere a strange problem with this firmware. normaly the speed is up to 8x for reading (also the old original KYS2 firmware). I tried a small Speed and ErrorCheck with NeroTools. The drive works at 40x for reading and while running an ErrorTest (around 4 minutes of test) i damaged the complete border of a new DVD
I have seen an version from 2006 on the web but the site isnt reachable for me :-/ I will try to use OmniPatcher to set the max read speed to 8x - hope this will stop damaging DVDs.
I will try to install two older firmware version and compare its features like (speed / errorhandling) and so on... Dont know why the latest firmware damaged the border of a new "v3rb4tim" dvd :twisted
Anyway thanks for your help and posting a working link ^^
