#PB_ANY for ToolbarImageButton.

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

#PB_ANY for ToolbarImageButton.

Post by Shannara »

Hmm, here is another button/gadet that is missing the #PB_ANY support. Any plans on adding this? It'll be another great way to push PB towards dynamic coding...

Maybe we should just delete all bumped topics... that'll put a stop to it.

Ok, lets get this out in the open of the public this time, shall we? What do you have against bumping, and me in particular?

These threads were bumped with valid reason. For this one in particular, is for completion of a feature that you started but never completed. If you have no plans to complete the #PB_ANY feature, I ask that you state as such, without threats.

Also, if "bumping" is bad, please place that as a rule in the FAQ instead of making them "unwritten" rules. Is it also safe to assume that if bumping is bad, then double posting is permissable to have a thread seen?

Well, two years without an answer, it can suppose you hadn't read this topic at the time, that's why Shanara's bumping the topic, I don't see the problem...

I think the problem is, that bumping threads can be annoying. And nobody is required to reply :) I mean, I would expect staff to reply to the bugs section but not here.

Also, I have been rude to both the staff and the community. So I would figure that my suggestions or wishes would be set pretty low due to my attitude.

This forum is a very busy place. It takes quite an amount of our time keeping up with it.
By bumping old threads without adding no new information whatsoever you
are increasing the amount of stuff we have to go through without any need for it.
It should be understandable why that is annoying to us.

Now thinking a bumb will increase the chances of a feature being implemented
more quickly is a misconception. We are aware of what is posted here,
so there is no need to bring it back to our minds.
Well, and the strategy of annoying people into doing something usually has no success.

As for this specific request: Its the same as with the MenuItems actually.
(They share the same ID range)

The unfortunate problem is that there's no mechanism for PB customers, other than a response from the PB development team on this forum, to verify a problem has been placed on the bug/to-do list. So with no response, customers are unsure if their issue has even been noticed and will be addressed or not.

This topic (especially the one with the MenuItems and #PB_Any) has been discussed and explained before.
