Bug in Forum Logic

Post by akj »

If a user successfully edits the last post of a topic, the topic submission date/time does not get updated. But logically it should, to enable other users to realise that a recent change has ocurred and that the topic is not dormant.

Related: The "This post last edited .." message is pretty lazy and only comes to work when it feels like it.

No, it only comes when someone already answered to the topic after your post and before you edited.

Regardless, bring this up to the PHPbb guys, not the PureBasic guys :-)

I didn't realise until now that the forum was not written by Fantaisie Software.

I tried to contact PHPbb, but got nowhere as the website kept generating mySql4 errors.

Is anyone able to get through to them on my behalf?
My bug report is:
"If a user successfully edits the last post of a topic, the topic submission date/time does not get updated. But logically it should, to enable other users to realise that a recent change has ocurred and that the topic is not dormant."
