Not all true - more and more "legal" sites are using BitTorrent as a way to download stuff... and you have some BitTorrent sites with only legal stuff. As you wrote - it reducing server load. World of Warcraft for example, used the technique for updates.Trond wrote:What's really the purpose of BitTorrent? I haven't tried it, but it works with ed2k, gnutella and Torrent p2p engines.
BTW, azureus is not free, is it?
EDIT: sorry is Morpheus which is not free
