I have only every dabbled with programming(I have realised far to late that I`m far to thick!),and struggle to understand alot about programming a modern computer(be it windows, linux or whatever),with all of the ins and outs of modern systems, libarys, how to use/make where to get them, system calls how, where, when.
When reading the forums so much just goes straight over my head, when pepole talk about database access, servers, threads ect,it`s just not easily picked up for beginners, and I don`t know of any beginner friendly books which will intoduce all of the modern things that Purebasic is capable of accessing/producing.
So I got to thinking how great it would be if there was a Purbasic specific section doing tutorials on single subjects, prehaps by pepole who now that subject well.
We could have things such as game making, display a map, place sprites, scroll through worlds.
Application stuff as simple as how to build a small note pad, with text selecting/colouring,cutting,best ways to load and save, ect.
3D stuff, build a world, which tools to use and how,how to use objects detect collisions,3D overview/therory,how it all works.
They wouldn`t have to be huge sections, just a bit by bit, those that are in the `know` could post and those that don`t(ME!)could ask questions about the whole process.
I know the guys who are responsable for Purebasic wouldn`t have the time but there seems to be plenty of smart guys here that could,I know there have been some guides here and there, but I mean stuff just for PB,covering thing other than just the basics.
So Maybe fred would consider this, and maybe someone could do a poll
asking members.

Thanks and please spare a thought for all us patricks/homers,who just want to be able to use this brilliant language a bit better.
Cheers.

What do you other guys think
