I just bought a brother MFC-9420CN multifunction color laser printer, and made the mistake in trying to print a photo on hi-gloss paper, now am getting bad streaks.
i tried cleaning according to the manual but the streaks keep comming back.
please help.

Ah, don't you mean (wink):
You just got the printer and it's doing that streaking. So you will return it for a new one because it is still covered under warranty at the store (and manufacturer) you bought it from?!

I was hoping that a member be an expert in cleaning/reparing printers and could "talk" me trough the process of cleaning my mess, I just hope it's fixable without spending a lot of money, already spent enough.
@PB: the printer was OK until I screwd it up by using coated paper, failed to read the warning that's in the docs, besides, i should have known better.
did call the store where i bought it from, told them what happened and they replaced it with a new printer -no charge-

Glad to see my suggestion worked.
I use to work tech support and to mess around inside of such a printer after that type of mishap is no fun, for sure. That's why I recommended such course of action after you put forth that you just bought that printer.
