how - split an string by character?

hi!
i was wonderin how if someone already made a function for splittin a string into an array given the split string

like

string$ = "hello,im,goin,to,get,split"

and you call splitstring(string$,",")

and then u get the chunkies of it in a array or sumthing?

...everything you need, including an example.
