T3H WARG SEQUAL! And WargEngine 1.0 - Now with a poll!

Post by dracflamloc »

Well after lots of sweat and hard labor on the coding...
I spent SOOOO much time on the high res cutting edge graphics =)
It's finally here, the long-awaited sequel to T3H WARG GAME....

DOWNLOAD HERE!!! (Linux version now online)

Let me know what you think. I really love feedback (no tic tac toe ). If you have any problems let me know as well. Spread the word!!!

Please let me know if you make any games based on the WargEngine. I hope to release it under the GPL as soon as I've implemented a few more features (I gotta hang on to my baby until I've raised it up proper (scripting, etc)). :D

Previous discussion on this game has been here:
viewtopic.php?t=17085

P.S. - While T3h Warg Sequal doesn't really LOOK the best, the engine is very flexible and quite powerful.

P.P.S - Thanks to all of you who've submitted artwork in the other thread!

This game is insane!
But I got stuck in a tree when I entered a new level once... :o
And when I reuturn to a level where I killed all the monsters; they'r not dead anymore...
And Warg was to easy to kill! :P
Did you make the "doodoo.wav" yourself?

t3h warg! t3h warg! :P
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

Yea I made doodoo.wav myself and messed around with it in sound recorder. Same with doom.wav

Glad you guys like it. The game is quite difficult unless you get "T3h warg slayer"

If you want to make it harder/easier then go into the warg2 directory and edit settings.ini. You can change your starting health/damage, etc. If you read howto.txt it shows you how to make all the files for the levels.

I plan on making a level editor but its pretty easy to make the gtl files just using textpad and insert mode.

The nighttime effect is kinda oldschool. (checkboard pattern with transparency) because I couldn't get StartSpecialFX to work without wiping the screen. So no fancy effects are available. Maybe as pb4 continues and the opengl subsystem matures I'll port it to Sprite3d.

I predict that drac's stunning game is now so good that Microsoft are going to buy him out shortly in 2050 and that Drac will turn up at Fred's place in his shiny new lizard boots, alligator suit and PB4 power Honda accord (which is faster than a Ferrari with PB powering it).
