If you're using Gnome, you can use I think gtksudo, which allows you
pass your info to a gnome dialog which will ask for the user and pass, and
then pass it on to sudo.
I believe KDE has a similar program too, probably named qtsudo ksudo or
kdesudo.
Be sure to read the docs on it though, as I can't verify anything since I
don't have a Linux box running at this time.
