Anyone already test IE 7? Any comments?

Im afraid to download it because can get crazy my machine (as usuall with Microsoft). Thats why i ask comments before.

But I use Opera. BUT from the programming side i use it everyday (IE) and its usefull to know if anyone here test it before.

i am very happy with FIREFOX... and i dont want move back to IE... never change a running system

I tested it: Microsoft made a huge jump foreward from IE 6 (which I use just if I can't get around it). Normally I browse with Opera. If I got some problems with Opera on one side I switch to Firefox. But now I'm seriously thinking about dismissing Firefox as my 2nd browser in favour of IE 7. Microsoft did a good job with it so far. Let's see how it'll be after the beta.

For web development its pretty important to have at least the big 3 browsers installed in your dev system... Also you will encounter many pages that wont (still) work as they should -correctly- under Firefox for example, hence you'll have to use one of your backup browsers...

It's the case with many online helpdesk systems that require IE and wont work with Firefox for example...

For browsing -if you ask me- I preffer Firefox.
But you can't choose when it comes to webdev I'm afraid! You must support all platforms (If you're willing to.. But hey, who in his right mind wouldnt?).

ricardo: Just in case you've got a VM installed, why not testing it over there?. Although the waste of time... "Would it be worth it?".

I use Firefox myself and have pretty much since it was first released. As for web development, I'm not sure home sites count - but if they do, I couldn't be bothered supporting anything else.

If you don't like the IE 7 then you can uninstall it. It's listed under "Windows XP - Software Updates" as "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview".

I have tried IE 7. And if you look through it very well, you'll find out Bill Gay made a fake clone of FireFox.. That's why I use IE 6 and FF.

Never install it as it's so unsecure! And I made a testimonial for you so you can see the results:

Firstly, I opened IE 7, made the settings to high protection, then I made an ActiveX class in VB, it was just a simple hacktool which opens another IE window.. When I run it with IE 7, it tells me that the site is trying to download malicious software, and then IE 7 crashes. I made the same with IE 6, and it didn't crash, but it alerted me that the site uses ActiveX Controls.. Made the same with FF, and id didn't alert nor crash.

So results are:
IE 7 - SUCKS!
IE 6 - Ok....
FF - The BEST!

Hope you now see that BILL GAY just is a cloner.
