Hmm, we have until 13 Feb 2006?

Is it OK to use PB 4?

Unless maybe this contest is a "diversion" to make us forget about it for a while?

cheers,

Oh da*n, you got us
I don't think there is any problem in using PB4 ... when it's published in time. Look at it this way: We don't have to buy the new version to test your sources, so why not ;)

What about us Southern Hemisphereans? Especially those of us who have never seen snow?

Can we do something with the delicate shimmer of heatwaves above the sand dunes?

Or the majestic breaking of waves against the shore?

(Just kidding).

This sounds good. Now I need a 96 hour day.

Hmm, I think a hyperrealistic beach bunny would do. Don't forget to implement some interaction with the mousecursor <)

There are a lot of movies about each weathers in the i-net.
Also a good idea is, to lend a video of "Fire and Ice" from your favorite video library. ;-)

I like this competition

But a thing is funny : you invite french to this competition => http://purebasic.hmt-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4164 and you don't allow them to send their results in french, and you don't translate in french rules.

Sorry, but no one of the commitee-members speaks enoughs french to translate the rules an the contributiondescriptions to french.

If here any friendly person would translate the contestrules, this would make us very happily about that.

Once more I'm curious*: How many of you are actually working on one or more of the tasks? How hard/easy do you think the tasks are?

*could make a profession out of that :D

I've done two of them so far. Wasn't too hard. The majority of them aren't too hard, just takes a little time..... wish I had more of it.

I have 0.1 done (the idea). But I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment and getting to 0.2 has been on the backburner for a while now.

@ Aaron

Yeah. You can send it to Wintercontest@PureArea.net.
But, please write a little description to to each of the two contributions.
Briefly, we put it on the contest-page on PureArea.
You'll can see it then if you click on the contestbanner.

There are prices for single contribtions, too ;-)

There isn't more so much time to complete it.
You can create that yet in 2 nights ;-)

Due to the recent publishing of the PureBasic 4 Beta*, we decided to reschedule the closing day, the new date is march 20th, i.e. first day of spring.

We think that some of you just waited a little bit too long for it, thus having no chance in the contest ;)
