not the best printer around but best for features-vs-price for me, but I was
shocked to see that it installed 257 MB of data from its Setup.exe! Including
the .NET framework! Come on, I mean 257 MB just to PRINT? Sheesh.
Luckily it has 2 redeeming features for me: you can make photocopies and
print photos direct from a memory card, all standalone with the PC off; and
the second redeeming feature is the memory card slots act as another drive
in "My Computer", so I don't need to buy a memory card reader to browse
my SD card anymore.
with Microsoft's ActiveSync rubbish.
Edit: Actually, my last comment got me thinking... remember my USB speed
post where I lamented the fact that transferring a 2 MB photo takes about
2 minutes? I just threw the card into the printer and tried it -- INSTANT!
Just a regular cut/paste now to transfer my pics.
speed was thanks to Microsoft's pathetic "Mobile Device" browser found
under "My Computer", rather than my USB port, cable or SD card. Phew!
