Sorry i think it was a little too late that evening i read that :)

If I could get just that which I've already written about I would be pleased, but I'm looking for the possibility of also adding an element on the application that displays an RSS feed in stock market / news "ticker tape" display format.
Are you not aware that there are 7 RSS formats?

Do you want them all implemented?

No, the RSS feed would be created internally, hosted by us, using whatever format you want. We would need a tool to create the feed or a third party tool would be fine.

Ok, that greatly simplifies matters. :)

Sorry for being vague. I'm trying to give the user a reason to keep this client application running at all times. I have access to a good deal of information/news these customers would like to read so I do have content for the feed. If there are any other ideas I would love to hear them. I want the application to be interesting enough to have the customers have it running at all time.

If the UI has room maybe it could display a few words of each message like many of the RSS feeds do? Maybe the scrolling ticker news display is stupid and someone has a much cleaner idea, that would be GREAT. Don't limit yourselves to what I have written, if you have some other ideas I would love to hear and see them.
