Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

May we have a "PureBasic 4 - beta 1" for Christmas?

Version 4 is on the backburner for the moment as Fred is working on version 5.

He likes to keep ahead of things.

No, it's 5,2,1 at the moment. Didn't you get the internal memo? Ahh, sorry, the memo was compiled on 5.2.1 and you only run 3.94 and didn't understand it::(

There is a 3,000 line decoding routine in 4.01 but it needs an 18,000 line decoding routine in 3.94 to understand so it might take you a while.

Here in Europe we have another 11 1/2 hours of christmas ;)
But I also doubt that pb4 is coming that soon, I was sceptical the day I heard of of the plans :)

Ahhhh, obviously you guys didn't see this thread

A little more serious...
PB4 is not yet ready to go in Beta stage, I guess you all know this by now.
This is not just an update....this is a huge compiler rewrite...

But as i see it now, Fred will be only a couple of weeks wrong with the "maybe xmas present" he said in the interview.
Everything Fred wanted to change and add to the compiler is done. (also lots of bugs added)
Now the Debugger, libs and IDE have to be reworked to work with that compiler.

Note: JaPBe will not work, so maybe a couple of ppl can start to study the code to make all necesary changes if you want to keep on using it. Changing the VD code to PB4 syntax took me only about 4 hours (24000 lines)

So get ready to start betatesting, this will be the biggest betatest in PB history, never before where there so much changes!

Akee, did those assorted loose women arrive yet? I had a hell of a time shoving them into the cardboard tube so I don't know what condition they will arrive in. Merry Christmas mate!

Damn you for deleting it, I spent a whole 2.8 seconds on it!! And what do you mean by (L)unicode??? I sent it as a monobrow code!!!

Oh, the inhumanity!
