Some users (including me) would be happy to know whats going on and so i think a WorkLog, where you (only you!) will write down what are you still working on, would be really great for us all! So all this guys would know the actual development state of the new version and/or fixed libs or holiday ... Please think about this... This would be a big a big goal for the comunity

Keep on your great work... Still looking forward to have an WorkLog soon

It would be nice to have a list of all the fixed bugs (as they get fixed) and features to be included in the next release all in one place so we can easily tell where things stand (instead of searching the forum). Obviously, we don't need a blow-by-blow of what happens daily

What good would it do to have a "list of features to be included in the next version"??

Could you imagine the bitching if there is a problem and a feature doesn't get put in? Then people would be mad and be saying... "but you promised, it's here in writing"

And what if there is a work log that doesn't get updated for a while... then everyone will start complaining about no development being done.

Don't believe me?? This is the same senario on the Blitz Basic forum. Mark has a worklog and when it's not updated for a while... everyone complains.
And when he announces that something new is coming and it gets cancelled... everyone complains.

Obviously it's Fred's choice, but myself I certainly wouldn't do it just for these same reasons!!

But we PureBasic coders are much more mature than Blitz coders.
Nah, just kidding. I agree, it could cause a lot of tension/resentment.

But a list of fixed bugs would be more than welcome, because it means we can
work on our apps more efficiently, knowing that a certain command will work
in future, and so on.

Sorry to answer so late. I don't want to put a worklog because it's time consuming... If a lib is in /update/ then it has something fixed, just get it . You will find the reason in the forums if you really need it. Or just wait for the new version which has a complete history with details about changes/fixes.

The coder of Liberty Basic had a "Captain's Log" some month ago on his website, to show such a thing.
Now it's gone... I suppose it was too time consuming.

Fred: As SimpleMind said, keep living...

BTW: Would be nice to have from every Micro$oft employee/coder such a "Captain's Log".
I'm wondering what they are doing all day long...

Have a nice day...
