Web Design Help Needed

Post by Brice Manuel »

I received a report from a visitor to a site I "manage". Text isn't being displayed properly. The person with the problem is using Mozilla under Linux.

It displays fine for me on Windows using Mozilla 1.7.12

The lady with the problem is running:
I run Linux and my Mozilla is 1.7.3 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041202 Debian/1.7.3.x.1-39)
My Mozilla says: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915

Is she using a version of Mozilla that is older than mine (I know older versions had problems with Tables) as the Gecko numbers are different?

I am using "Arial" as the font. The web software I use only allows me to specify one font, unlike other programs. Is there a specific font I could use that would be sure to work on Windows, MAC and Linux?

Thanks in advance for any help.
