CodeArchive - Project Management (WebPM / CVS) online!

Post by Andre »

Hello PB users!

Thanks to ts-soft and Lukaso (from german PB forum, Lukaso is also hosting the new service www.PureForge.net) its now available - the online-editable release of the CodeArchive!

There was already a discussion about this on german board, but within a few days it was made available to the public.

Here the address:
http://cvs.pureforge.net/codearchiv/

Help of CodeArchive CVS wrote:This web-based project management system was introduced to offer a possibility to PureBasic users to contribute updates or new codes to the well-known CodeArchiv of PureArea.net. So this is the point: the standard website for downloading the CodeArchiv (including the new C.A.V. offline browser & search tool) or single codes of it will stay on www.PureArea.net. Here on this project management site you can help to update the CodeArchive with new or updated codes - so it's more for experienced coders ;-)

Important! This WebPM/CVS like edition is thought for contributors - everyone who "only" want access to existing codes should further use the CodeArchive on www.PureArea.net

But if you still like to try - with "read-only" rights you can login with following data:
URL: http://cvs.pureforge.net/codearchiv
User: CodeArchiv
Password: CodeArchiv
Help: http://webpm.woltlab.info/docs.html

Much more important - everyone who actively wants to help (means adding new codes or updating existing ones) need an access with "read & write" rights.

If you're interested drop a short message with your wanted "user name" and "password" to me (via e-mail andre [at] purearea.net) or via 'PM' to ts-soft.

What you should remember while adding/updating codes - you can read in the complete help directly on the CodeArchive WebPM site.

Changes at this online edition of the CodeArchive will also be put back into the "right" CodeArchive on PureArea.net and will be released there as part of the complete download package (including C.A.V. offline-browser).

Just ask if I may have forgotten to answer some questions....
Bye,
...André
