Update before releasing PB 3.0 for Windows ?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

Will you release any update, like PB2.91 or PB2.95 for example, before you will release PB3.0 somewhere in about two months? This would be really nice, because of some known bugs in PB2.90 and i have to finish/fix/optimize my 32k game for the eastern event and really need a fixed PB version

Changes for PB2.91 or PB2.95...!?
ImageLib - will not longer included when using 2Ddrawing stuff
SpriteLib - optimized, precalced table?)
SpriteLib - Transparancy broken 16bit fixed (fixed lib is available)
Compiler problem - data$ will no longer be included 2 times
Float - bug fixed )
LoadJPEGSprite() - (fixed lib is available)
some other small add/fix/changes... to have an official more stable and fixed version...)

Ok Fred... This is only what i would really welcome to see next time (before eastern) and before releasing the brand new PB3.0 version...

Mhhhh... what do you think about releasing a preversion of PB3.00 like PB2.95 for example where are some bugs are now fixed (compiler and libs)...? It should only be a small fixed official update before Fred will release the new and powerfull PB3.0 somewhere soon...

Fred, will you release a small official update with some fixed stuff like PB2.95 before eastern?? Please

I know you would need some updates
before eastern, so you can finish
your 32k game.
But hey: Your game shouldnt be first

yes, you are right... But when coding on v3.0 he must fix old bugs too and as some of you know, there are some bugs in PB2.90 and with this bugs inside PB some guys cant really continue to code there projects i.e. (ok, thats not for all people!)

So i dont really want to wait for a new update every two months for example before i can continue coding on a project where the old stuff has been fixed... This is why i prefer to see inside this time of two month a new official version with some fixed stuff that people can start continue there projects and dont have to wait two months... Ok, this text is a bit harder as in reality but maybe you can follow me and understand my opinion... I dont want to blame fred about his work! Hope you dont understand me wrong...

Yes, you are right... i would like to see some small changes (compiler/libs) so i get finish my 32k game for the eastern competition... But hey, me is not the only one who using PB - i never wanted that Fred fix only the stuff i personaly need!!! I want that he fix the stuff reported by all guys... You may be right, i talk Fred that i need the fixed stuff until eastern if possible to finish the planed 32k game... (i have never planed that my game will be freds first priority... it would just help all PB users while developing) I want just only see an official update like PB2.91 where some parts are fixed... (Compiler and Libs) nothing else... Fred have all time to code on his great PB3.0 - I am still patienced to see v3.0

right... i think if he have many time to update it then he make it greater then to code it with all this stress (more bugs), so fred uve all time of the world . Make it calm. So MrVainSCL and u mean im impatientliy?

Hi TronDoc!
I dont think that any people should stop coding/using PureBasic now... Btw there are many many other languages with bugs too and Fred is the only one who works on this great project... He is not a company where are many developers behind a project... So i think its really hard for Fred to code for three different platforms a portable coding language!!! I think nobody should now go to be a running-board-rider since Franco wrote he stoped his work until PB will be more stable! Sure, there are some small bugs in PB but which program is really 100% bug free? So let us just wait for a new fixed update...

This behave isnt good for new users when reading this and its ofcourse not nice for Fred to read this bad stuff... We should support Fred in his work and report known bugs and wait for updates and not to demoitvate Fred nor give him more stress with this action... So please think about this... Thanks!

Btw i think Fred makes his job great!

I have also problems with some bugs, but I think we must be take care before writing info to this board regarding stopping with programming with PB.

It's not good for new users and not for ourselfs and of course Fred.

PB has great potential, we just have to be a little more patience.

Be aware for the domino effect of quiting with PB.

May I ask what's wrong with using an earlier "stable" version then?

Too many people here seem to be "quitting" just because something
got broken with the latest release. It's not good publicity for
any lurkers reading these forums and may scare them off for no
valid reason. For what it's worth, I still haven't had one problem
with it yet, and think it's a fantastic language. Just my 2c.
