Just kidding. Its written in Stackless Python.
I still can't get my mind wrapped around a stackless language though.

Have you tried it?
The graphics on the home page look fantastic. Wondering if they're indicative of the game?
cheers,
whoops - one of the graphics is for Exodus.

@rsts - No, I haven't tried it, I am just fishing for feedback before I do.
@kale - Is it only ships ? I see a few screenshots of players faces, but do the players ever leave their ship? In other words, walk around?
The videos are very impressive.

You just have an avatar (face) which i thought would be crap too but somehow i've become addicted to it! Doh!
It has some very nice features, like to train a skill you set it training and even if logged off its still training, woohoo, no more grinding xp! The depth to it is unimaginable too, think Elite but updated with huge amounts of content and good graphics combined with 1000s of way to configure ur ship etc...

@kale - thanks for the feedback.
I am quite afraid that it would become a black hole that I would fall into if I started playing it.
My family would probably have to file a missing person report.

Me too. I'd never buy a game that needs money for regular play.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

well..mh the reason of why you must pay is because of the servers, its not cheap to maintain such a big set of services.
although, you can always start a community project and tell them to host for you
anyway I dont like such games.. just wanted to say that (which you might in fact know it already so.. *runs away*)

guildwars is a one time only purchase, it's more a diablo clone than a real rpg / mmorpg but it's fun

My son Joseph plays it, the graphics really are that good. He has made over £850 "selling" his position in the game over the last year or so!

@DoubleDutch - Wow, sounds like a net increase for your son. Not bad!
Thanks for the feedback. I might try Anarchy first, that looks pretty good.
