@Fred: Should I wait for the first beta of PB 4.0 ... ?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

When I first started with PureBasic, Gadget term was instantly replaced by Control term as I was thinking, when reading the help or when coding.

But now it's reverse, the word CONTROL seems not usual form me, and the word GADGET sounds more usual... After years and years of Delphi with only EditControl and ButtonControl, it's strange... Were does tthe word Gadget comes from ???

Note: Turbo pascal v6 with TurboVision library: the term was ELVIS (VIS-ual EL-ement)...

Yes, Gadgets were the GUI elements names in AmigaOS (from the Gadtool library, in Intuition :). I agree it's a wierd name when coming from Windows but it's an inheritance, and i like to keep it. On Linux, Widget is more common, so there is no real standard in naming.. :P

Hello Fred,

keep on doing this great Job.

I do programming now around 22 Years and I choosed Pb of his
integral logic at all.

I specially like in Basic that I can READ the Text easy.
If its named ProcedureReturn or HieristnundasEndederProcedure
would not make to much different. When I would have enough from
too much tipping I would do program a Makro or simple Copy and paste.

When the Syntax would nerv me I would do also write new Procedures and .. so on.... and another upsss... at the end I would write my own Language..

aehhh.. no I do not like to do this. So I use Pb.

I am still Newbie in Pb and till now I only find one really Bug it looks like.

But when we know about the Bug,, we can program around it :)

So whatever... keep on good doing, keep it stable, fast and with your wide range of Commands.

Chris

For myself (i did not searched here if it was already written... in what language is Pb written mostly?)
