gtk-config not found, GTK2+ installed

Post by Sosti »

Hi!

I just installed the final 3.94 on my SuSE 9.3 Prof. Unfortunately I always get a failure at compiling ;o(

It always says "gtk-config: command not found"

GTK2+ is installed, and through google I found out, that at this version gtk-config is called pkg-config (which exists).

What can I do now?

Kind regards,

Sosti

do you use the '-s gtk2' subsystem when compiling (or if you use the IDE put 'gtk2' in the Compiler Option window in the subsystem field) ?.

No, i didn't I tried it and got following:

Error: Line 1 - 2 OS functions have the same name: g_signal_connect_data_() (libraries: 'pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.00)

The command mentioned gives this: -L/opt/gnome/lib - lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lpangoxft-1.0 -lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0
