PB hangs or dissapears

Post by GeoTrail »

A few days ago I got PB 3.94 to work on Ubuntu with a little work. First I installed the Debian package and found some files to be missing. I downloaded the tar file and extracted the files that were missing to the appropriate locations. Everyting seemed to work great. I could compile without any problems.

I haven't done anything with the PB installation or files in any ways, but now when I run PB and click Compile to executable, the IDE just dissapears. When I click on Compile and run, the IDE just hangs.

Is there any way I can find out what is going on? I'm no expert with Linux so suggestions and tips would be great. Any tips :)

Just noticed that the program just dissapears when I save a file too.

Yes, compiling from the console works fine.
I'm using Gnome and I've made a shortcut next to the Firefox shortcut. When I run that it hangs. But if I click a file that I have associated with PB it works.

I figured it out.
Was my fault hehehe
In the command box I just typed in purebasic instead of the whole path to PureBasic. Seems to work just fine now :)
