3 Week Deployment to Gulf

Post by localmotion34 »

As some of you know, i am an Emergency Medical Technician here in Florida. I have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of the gulf, and am currently in montgomery alabama awaiting to leave for Biloxi and then new orleans in the morning.

i will be unreachable for 3 weeks, and am anticipating Hell on Earth. Already in alabama, there are literally thousands of people around here who have absolutely no place to go. there will be no power, water, nor anything else where i am going, so there will be no outside contact for me.

i dont know exactly what i will be doing, but i will be treating patients, going house to house, and maybe recovering bodies.

the disease has begun to take hold, and unimaginable horrors have begun to unfold even here in alabama. my sources and libraries will be posted on my storage site so all can access and continue the work i have contributed to PB. should i not return from here, it has been both a pleasure and an honor to have collaborated and shared ideas with you all, a community whom i call my friends.

Take good care of yourself!
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

Great to see more people helping out. At times like that it isn't only third world country that needs help, anyone would struggle after such an aftermath.

Norway has already donated over 10 milllion NOK to the Katrina relief fund, if anyone wants to help, they can visit http://www.directrelief.org/sections/ou ... trina.html
