Yep my brother brought me the ZDNet link where they had an article about this.. True the servers were "very busy" when I tried as well.
I have tried LINDOWS before I dont know if they changed something now that they also had to change their name (because of microsoft issues) but I didnt liked that OS, at all.

I wonder if it always points to a busy server page? Like another cheap way to advertise, like a few of these software companies have tried lately.
EDIT
Well, I guess you can actually get it for free but you have to wait in line or download BitTorrent which is like a file sharing program to download it. Which is slow as hell. This might take forever to download.

I didn't mean the program itself is slow. I'm talking about file sharing all together. When people share on a 28k or 56 k dial-up, your downloads are going to be slow. Never cared for file sharing programs.

No they wont - Depends on how many peers you have connected to, you'll be getting bits from every peer and the program will assemble the file from this bits you've got from this many peers. Here I have 2.2mbps and I download at my max speed most of the torrents, for example open office's torrent (hey anyone here uses open office? or im the only one?). or a knoppix distro, you name it. Even theres a tv program at here which is about technology and so, they have the chapters tracked so you can download via bittorrent (I personaly use BitComet - nice client) but you can get a browser plugin too which will work the same.. but I preffer a third-party client though.
From the site:
UPDATE: This offer was scheduled to end Sept. 6th, but due to the overwhelming demand on our servers, not everyone has been able to redeem their coupon code. Because of this, we've decided to extend the offer a little bit longer past the deadline. Thanks, and sorry for any problems you've encountered with the demands on our server.
I Stepped On A Cornflake!!! Now I'm A Cereal Killer!
Okey I got the torrent now waiting for peers...
Hmm But if you think about it.. this is just propaganda, they'll get many people to try it out and some might like it if they do then they will be "forced" to buy the new version when it comes... ok sounds fair in a way though..
I'm sure I wont like it at all

My bittorrent was corrupt so i had to download the whole thing again by http... But i do like bittorrent, it's great if there are enough people to get your file from. And Linspire? That seems pretty good too! I installed it inside VMware and at first it didn't find the harddrive (it was set up as the default SCSI) but when changed to IDE it installed with no problems whatsoever. A simple and fast installation! The desktop looks good, colourful and easy to use. I haven't tried much more with it but overall it seems okay.
