PureBasic Linux 3.94 beta 2 released!

Post by freak »

Hello everybody,

Here it is, the next beta version of the upcomming PB for Linux release.
Since it is basically the same as 3.94 for Windows, we skipped the 3.93 version and went straight to 3.94

So whats new?
- IDE is up to date with the latest windows features
- gtk2 version of the IDE included. (start the purebasic_gtk2 executable)
- many bugfixes since 3.93 beta1

Get it on your account on http://www.purebasic.com/

The beta 2 is now available on your personal accounts. It feature all the bug fixes reported in the Bug section as well a new online help text component based on scintilla (so it should be better looking on GTK2). If you find any problems don't hesitate to report them, thanks !

Have fun,

What differences between the two are there?

I tried it and it gives errors for each of the menu icons saying they are missing.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately it throws those errors every time.
And of course there is no menubar since there are no icons.

Too bad since the previous version and IDE worked quite well on my system.

You can try to delete your .purebasic/purebasic.prefs in your home folder, it should solve it (or press on the 'Default toolbar' in the toolbar pref window).

As I did not have a .pref file to delete, I tried the Default setting you suggested and that fixed the startup problem.

Now that it's working I can post the bug with TextGadget :)
