Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

The engine as it is now, is quite useable! All important features are inside. So you are free to use it.
And if you need a dll without the watermark we can talk about this ;)

As it is for me, I will stop PureBasic, because it takes too long time to get some visual stuff ready. I will use it only to ...

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Hi,

Except the Intel internal GPU we didn't receive any bugs information, so i guess it should be fine and no bugs.
Also some one said, that the bug on the intel gpu was fixed by updating the driver.
Until now we are happy with the less bugs. I mean, ther is only one with the font and sprite ...

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Thank you all.

@N_Gnom: Not really. I think for the lighted smoke particle, you will need a bit better GPU, I guess it will start at Geforce GTX 800 series, otherwise you will have realy low FPS.
But we will see it, as soon the update is out, how many GPU can handle it. Maybe it will be hard for ...

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Good Morning,

ccode & Paul thank you very much for your support.

The hint with updating the driver is really good.
Also interesting is, that the MAX SHADER STORAGE BUFFER BINDINGS increases with the update from 8 to 16^^

So, to all people who have problems, maybe a update of the graphic driver ...

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Thanks ccode,
unfortunately it is none of the problem i thought^^
Intel is quite hard.
Maybe Intel handels the buffer different or the addressing of the uniform buffer is different.
Or the binding of buffers and textures, i optimized it ro reduce the openGL calls.

Greetings

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Good evening,

Re: UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Ok, unfortunately we can afford another system with ATI graphic card and intel GPU, so is hard for us to find the bug.
When im back from work, i will chek the code. Maybe i can guess the reason ^^

Re: UB2D - 2D PBR Engine

Thanks to both of you.

@Trond: I create the sprites with some objects in Blender and then clip them in our engine.
The 3D models usually have less details, since this is not necessary for 2D.

UB2D - 2D Physically Based Rendering Engine

Hello everyone,

STARGATE and I working currently on our 2D PBR Engine, which is a child of our 3D Engine.
Because we are only 2 people we decided to work on a an 2D engine and drop the 3D one, because it is easyer and faster to make assets for it and for programming.
Here, in the following link you ...
