Direct drawing in OS X?

I'm porting a software rendering app from windows and I can create a windowedscreen but I can only render to an image via screenoutput(imageoutput)
This is all great however it's impossible to get the image to the screen since I can't draw to the sprite, screen or window.
So windowed screen is ...

Changing color of different text items without scintilla?

Hi. It seems the build in edit gadget can only have one color for all text at a time.

Is there a cross platform way to color different text items (for syntax highlighting) without using Scintilla?

Thanks in advance

I know. Adding the two and dividing by 2 gives good avarage results (at the loss of about -3db) but just wondered if somebody had the trivial wav code etc :)

Mixing two audio files and saving as one?

Did anyone try this? I want to mix two audio files into one file where both original sounds are playing "on top" of each other.
It strikes me that it should be easy if they are both wavs of same sample rate?

Thanks in advance

Well. I think the current examples are broken and we need solid examples where the speed is acceptable. This runs fine 640x480 in both Flash and C++

Also changing to 32-bit or 16-bit still crashes for me. I think the examples should auto-download images like the first ones :)

Just my 2 cents

Got the bug. Setting 24-bpp fullscreen? Only on Linux I guess :)
On many Windows it's only 32-bit (or 16) :)

Maybe we should move it a step back and do a raycast lib include file?

Or cleanup the source so it's similar to the first, but with walls, floors, cielings + depth fog? That way we are sure it works across all platforms and people can use this page to optimize/change the base code base?

As of now ...

I don't understand why that line would give you an error, unless your computer can't do a 320x200 screen. Try changing it to windowed mode instead of fullscreen... or try changing screenWidth and screenHeight to 640x480 (the size you originally had)... the skybox won't work right then, because it's ...

Software z-buffer is not the way to go. For objects and strips we can do an 1-d z-buffer later. One for each vertical line we render. It's a neat trick with a fullblown software z-buffer, but theres too many pixels to process (width*height) and not needed for raycasting.
We also need to add som ...

Cool. Actually we'll need a z-buffer later for sorting billboard objects :)

Great work guys. Although we really should load purebasic sprites and get the data from there (I was lazy that day).
The great thing about raycasting is that it can run on slow systems, even those without 3D hardware.
And it gives that nice retro look :)
(And it's cross-platform ofcourse)

BTW: Love ...
